Imphal West Sets 2027 Voter Roll Revision Schedule

Imphal: Imphal West District Election Officer Mayanglambam Rajkumar Singh released the roadmap for the Special Summary Revision of photo electoral rolls. This move targets a qualifying date of January 1, 2027. Officials issued the notification under number 125/DEO(IW)/RPS-2025 following October directives from the Chief Electoral Officer of Manipur and the Election Commission of India.

The plan covers all 13 Assembly constituencies in the district. It demands action from voters and political parties. Crews must finish rationalizing polling stations by November 2. The office will publish the integrated draft electoral rolls on November 12. Public review begins that same day. Citizens have until December 11 to submit claims and objections regarding the draft data.

Staff must clear all filed disputes by December 28. The final version of the electoral rolls drops on January 4, 2027. Singh pushed for active participation from the public to keep the process clean. He stated, "The DEO has urged electors to verify their particulars in the draft rolls and submit claims or objections within the stipulated period to ensure the accuracy of the electoral rolls."
