Shillong: The East Khasi Hills District Administration is urging candidates appearing for the NEET (UG) re-examination on June 21 to reach their Upper Shillong testing site well ahead of schedule. A high-level visit by a Union Minister to the PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya at the EAC Headquarters coincides with the exam date, prompting officials to warn of potential travel disruptions.

Authorities expect that security protocols for the VVIP visit will necessitate traffic regulations on routes leading to Upper Shillong. These measures may result in congestion and travel delays for those heading to the center. Consequently, the administration has requested that students plan their commute carefully and arrive before the reporting time listed on their admit cards.

To ensure the day proceeds without issue, officials emphasized that they are taking steps to balance security needs with the requirements of the national medical entrance test. The district administration stated, "The administration sought the cooperation of students, parents and the public in facilitating both arrangements." Candidates are reminded to carry all required identification documents to ensure a smooth entry into the examination hall.
