Kohima: Nagaland Tourism is bringing the 2026 World Cup to the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama. The department secured legal rights from Z 5 to screen the two semi-finals on July 15 and 16, followed by the grand finale on July 20.
Gates open at 9:00 PM for each event. Spectators can grab tickets in three tiers: Gold for Rs. 3000, Silver for Rs. 200, and student tickets for Rs. 50. Students must present a valid ID card. You can buy passes at several Kohima spots including One Bit, Equipment and Sports, Kisama House, and the Directorate of Tourism. Sales will also run at the village gates.
Expect live music from performers like Moko Koza, Sentiein Kichu, and Anonymous Jamir. Food stalls will serve the crowd, and fans can enter a Match Prediction Challenge to win prizes. Commissioner and Secretary for Tourism Kovi Meyase said the department is acting on a directive to keep the site active outside of the standard holiday season. "His vision is that there is all year round activity at Kisama. We make full use of the facilities that are available there. Not only the 10 days Hornbill festival," Meyase said.
Officials hope these screenings boost the profile of the heritage site. They want the village to stay visible to locals and international visitors alike.
