Transformer Failure Knocks Out Power in Dimapur

Kohima: A technical failure at the 33/11kV, 10 MVA Supermarket sub-station cut power to wide swaths of Dimapur. The outage hit Thursday morning. Residents in Half Nagarjan, Nejati Colony, Police Colony, Bank Colony, Ura Villa, Circuit House, and the Supermarket area remain in the dark.

Executive engineer Lhuvoyi confirmed that crews are working to fix the faulty transformer. The department expects to restore the grid as soon as possible. Officials asked the public for patience while repairs continue. The department stated, "efforts were underway to restore power supply at the earliest."
