Kohima: Nagaland researcher Boka K Rochill earned a spot as one of 15 Indian delegates for the Australia-India Youth Dialogue 2026. The event gathers emerging leaders from both nations to tackle governance shifts fueled by artificial intelligence. Events run from July 27 to July 31 in Brisbane and Perth.
Rochill is a civil engineer holding postgraduate credentials in Urban Policy and Governance. He brings extensive experience working with government agencies and local institutions. His career centers on urban resilience, municipal finance, and heat mitigation strategies. He works to turn research into locally led climate action.
The Track II diplomacy initiative aims to build stronger ties between India and Australia. Participants hail from business, academia, government, and civil society. The official opening happens in Brisbane on July 28.
Rochill plans to represent the unique needs of Nagaland frontier towns during the sessions. He believes these connections help create better urban policy. “International dialogue creates space not only to exchange ideas, but to better understand how different places respond to shared challenges,” he said. He expects to help shape more resilient and inclusive urban futures.
