Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav put the state’s Tribal Affairs Department on notice Thursday. He wants results. At a meeting in Kohima, Yadav demanded better oversight and faster work on infrastructure projects across the state.

He told officials they need to stop dragging their feet. The governor pressed for transparent, coordinated efforts to make sure resources hit their targets. He said, "ensure that developmental benefits reach the intended beneficiaries."

The department detailed several major programs, including the Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana and Article 275(1) funding. Officials also reported on the status of Eklavya Model Residential Schools. Three schools are running with 751 students, and the group hit a perfect pass rate on the 2026 HSLC exams.

Progress on new campuses remains uneven. Land disputes, power shortages, and bad roads plague construction sites. The governor reviewed these bottlenecks with department heads and his own secretariat staff to identify how to clear the hurdles.
