Kohima: Nagaland officials just dropped the results for the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test. The state ran the exams back on March 21, 2026. Seven districts took part in the testing, including Phek, Tuensang, Mon, Zunheboto, Peren, Dimapur, and Kiphire. The program aims to boost basic skills for adult learners.
Out of 5,069 people who sat for the test, 4,522 made the grade. That number includes 1,314 men and 3,208 women. The state received these final figures after national reviewers finished the grading process.
The Directorate of School Education praised the effort, calling the outcome a significant milestone in the implementation of ULLAS in Nagaland. Education bosses pointed to the hard work from volunteer teachers and local officials as the reason for the success. They plan to keep pushing for full literacy across the state to help every resident learn.
