Kohima: NagaEd and the Nagaland Empowerment of People through Economic Development (NEPED) signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding in Kohima on June 10, 2026. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between digital education, renewable energy, and local community expertise.

The collaboration covers a wide range of areas including research, capacity building, and the development of renewable energy markets. Both organizations intend to use this framework to strengthen community knowledge systems and provide better educational pathways across the region.

During the signing, NagaEd founder Kevisato Sanyü emphasized the potential of local talent. He noted, "Nagaland’s most powerful solutions are already here—in our people, our knowledge systems, and our communities. What we need are stronger pathways to move that knowledge, those skills, and those opportunities to more people, faster."

Kovi Meyase, who serves as Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Nagaland and team leader for NEPED, stated that the initiative will leverage the Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy Studies in Dimapur. This facility remains central to their shared efforts in energy research, training, and innovation.

NEPED is a government-led initiative focused on natural resource management and sustainable livelihoods. NagaEd, based in Kohima, brings extensive experience in digital learning systems. The organization has previously supported over 96,000 learners and trained more than 8,000 professionals and educators throughout Northeast India.
