Kohima: The International Mind Education Institute (IMEI) partnered with Mt. Mary College in Chumoukedima to wrap up a one-year mind education course. The closing ceremony, held at the Grand Vista Hotel in Dimapur, featured a workshop and official certificate distribution.
During the first session, Daiante Ch. Marak, the IMEI state in-charge for Meghalaya, spoke about the importance of self-regulation. He discussed the topic of self-control as the key to a fulfilled life, noting that while human desire drives action, unchecked impulses frequently result in dissatisfaction.
Udayaraj Paundel, director of IMEI North East, led the second session on applying mind education to daily routines. He urged attendees to practice deep thinking and transparent communication rather than trusting their own thoughts implicitly. Paundel stated, "He illustrated how misunderstandings in relationships, particularly during youth, can be resolved through the principles of Mind Education, leading to transformation and clarity."
Dr. Teeya Imsong, the managing director of Mt. Mary College, encouraged the graduates to integrate these lessons into their personal and professional lives. The event also included testimonies from students about their growth during the program, a performance by the dance group The Righteous Stars, and an opening prayer by Pastor Sona Abraham.
