Moatoshi Longkumer Demands Justice in Dimapur Minor Abuse Case

Kohima: Advisor for Labour, Employment, Skill Development and Excise Moatoshi Longkumer has publicly condemned the alleged sexual abuse of a minor girl in Dimapur. He is calling for a transparent and impartial investigation to ensure that those responsible for the crime are held accountable under the law.

Longkumer stated that any such actions, if proven, constitute a severe violation of human rights. Regarding the pursuit of justice, he noted that "justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done." He emphasized that no person should receive protection from legal consequences regardless of their social status, wealth, or personal connections.

The advisor encouraged society to abandon the culture of silence that often surrounds child abuse cases. He praised the Dimapur Eastern Naga Students’ Union for its active role in highlighting the issue and demanding accountability. Longkumer also urged the public to prioritize the protection of children and the support of survivors, expressing his hope that the legal process will deliver justice for the victim.
