Aizawl: Mizoram's Land Revenue and Settlement Minister B. Lalchhanzova has launched the Online Tax Portal Version 2.0. Developed alongside the Information and Communication Technology Department, the platform aims to make tax payments easier while improving transparency in state revenue administration.

The system uses an Annual Proforma to determine exact yearly tax dues. Users can pay Land Tax and Zoramchhiah via the Bharat Bill Payment System, which supports platforms like GPay, PhonePe, and Amazon Pay. Residents can log in using their Family ID or Ration Card number to process payments or update contact information. The portal currently serves all districts except for Lawngtlai and Siaha.

The updated site includes automated SMS reminders for payments and notices for late fees. For departmental officials, the system offers improved reporting tools, daily collection tracking, and the ability to automatically block expired documents. The platform also keeps a record of all modifications to master files to maintain accountability.

Minister Lalchhanzova emphasized that digitizing these services will reduce the need for citizens to visit collection centers in person. He added that the initiative is part of a broader push to make Mizoram a self-reliant state by utilizing modern technology to streamline government services.
