Shillong: Meghalaya Together, a socio-cultural organisation based in Shillong, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the New Delhi-based waeacademy.com to offer free training in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics. The initiative aims to provide students with essential digital skills and improve their readiness for careers in technology.
Selected students will receive instruction from experienced faculty members and gain practical exposure to emerging technologies. The program seeks to bridge the digital skills gap and ensure that quality technical education is accessible to those who might otherwise struggle to afford it.
The agreement took effect on June 13 and remains active until March 31, 2027. Both organisations will collaborate to identify deserving candidates and foster digital literacy throughout Meghalaya. Meghalaya General Secretary Vegonia Nongpluh described the partnership as a significant step toward expanding modern technological education and creating new opportunities for the state’s youths.
WAE Academy emphasised its commitment to ensuring high-quality AI education is available to students in the state at no cost. This collaboration marks a concerted effort to prepare the local workforce for the evolving demands of the global technology sector.
