Shillong: Meghalaya will build its own version of Telangana’s Integrated Command and Control Centre. Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma confirmed the move after a visit to the Hyderabad facility this week. He wants a system that relies on data to fix service gaps.
The current setup in Hyderabad brings different government agencies under one roof. It tracks emergencies in real time while syncing up departments that rarely talk to each other. Sangma views this as the gold standard for state governance.
He noted the strength of the system comes from how agencies share information. "The success of the IC&CC lies not only in the advanced technology deployed but also in the robust institutional framework that enables different government departments to work in close coordination," he said.
State officials will now study the framework used in Telangana. They want to pull the best practices for Meghalaya. The goal is simple. Build a faster, smarter administration for the people living in the state.
