Shillong: The Meghalaya government wants another five-star hotel. Officials officially invited developers to submit proposals for a site in Umsawli, New Shillong.
Construction will follow the Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer model. This project operates as a public-private partnership. The chosen developer gets a 60-year concession period starting from the appointed date. The state expects a high-end facility.
Plans call for a minimum of 120 keys. The hotel must include restaurants, cafés, a meeting room, and a banquet hall. Developers must also include a spa and a swimming pool. The government outlined these requirements in the official Request For Proposal. These amenities represent the core expectations for the winning bidder.
