Meghalaya Congress Hit by Youth Wing Resignations

Shillong: Meghalaya Congress lost two more leaders this week. East Khasi Hills District Youth Congress president Osbert Wilfred Rynjah and general secretary Kevin J Sunn resigned from their posts and primary party membership on Wednesday. The move follows the departure of Mawphlang Block Congress Committee president George Clarence Sunn just one day earlier.

Both men handed their formal letters to state party chief Vincent H Pala. Rynjah cited a need to reflect on his future path. He thanked the party for the opportunity to serve, but noted the timing felt right for a change. Rynjah stated, "At this juncture, I believe it is appropriate for me to move on and therefore, discontinue my association with the party."

Sunn stepped down for personal reasons. He thanked his colleagues for their support and labeled his time in the party a valuable learning experience. The departures represent another blow to the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee as it grapples with a steady exodus of local leadership.
