Mawprem man tracks stolen bike to Pynursla forest

Shillong: Kedy Lyngkhoi got his bike back Monday. Someone swiped his motorcycle from outside his Mawprem home early that morning. By 8 am, he knew it was gone and filed an FIR at the Lumdiengjri Police Station.

Lyngkhoi did not wait around for results. His bike carried a GPS tracker. The signal pointed straight to the Pynursla area. He grabbed members of the Federation of Khasi Jaintia and Garo People to help him hunt it down.

The group reached Pynursla and alerted local police. They handed over the GPS coordinates. Nothing happened. Lyngkhoi alleged that after waiting several hours without help, the group launched their own search. He stated, "After waiting for several hours, the group decided to launch their own search operation."

The team combed the woods. They found the machine abandoned in a forest at 5 pm. The bike, tagged ML05 AG 1394, was recovered after the long day of tracking.
