Manipuri community to hold annual memorial ritual in Shillong

Shillong: The Manipuri community in Shillong gathers this Sunday to honor the departed. They are hosting the Langban Heikat-Leikat, Tara Luklen Tamba ritual. This yearly tradition serves to pay respects to the dead.

The ceremony begins at 9:30 am. It takes place at the Manipur Bhavan located in Laitumkhrah. The Ibudhou Pakhangba Thougal Lup is organizing the event. They are working alongside the Sanamahi Temple Board in Imphal.
