Kuki Students' Organisation Nagaland issues warning over Manipur comments

Kohima: The Kuki Students' Organisation Nagaland has officially clarified that Tony Singsit is not their president. While he hails from Saijang village in the Peren district, leadership confirmed he has never served as an office bearer for the group. Officials described recent claims identifying him as the organization's head as entirely incorrect.

President Thangkhanmang and General Secretary Paojamang urged the public and media to verify information before making statements. The group aims to prevent misunderstandings that could arise from the circulation of false reports.

The organization also issued a stern warning to Kuki individuals in Nagaland regarding the conflict in Manipur. Leaders stated that these issues should be left to the residents of Manipur to resolve. They emphasized that Kukis in Nagaland have historically been integrated into the Naga movement and should refrain from public debates or commentary on the neighboring state.

KSON warned that it will not be held responsible for any complications if individuals ignore this directive. The organization maintains that this stance is necessary to preserve public peace and communal harmony.
