Kohima Village Youth Organisation Elects New Leadership for 2026-28

Kohima: The Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) has officially appointed its new leadership team for the 2026 to 2028 term. Mhasimhalie Matthew Yhome will lead the organization as its new president.

The transition took place on May 22 during a formal ceremony held at the KVYO Conference Hall in Ziekezou. The event was chaired by the outgoing Games and Sports Secretary, Viliebeizo Liezietsu, and featured an invocation led by Reverend Atuo Whuorie from the Baptist Mission Church.

During the meeting, outgoing president Er. Medozhazo Rutsa addressed the attendees, followed by administrative reports from treasurer Ketholhoutuo Belho and secretary Neikehetuo Kire. Zeneizo Rutsa, vice chairman of the Kohima Village Council, provided words of exhortation to the organization.

The nomination committee convenor, Vituonyü Khezhie, formally announced the new office bearers. The program concluded with a short address from the incoming president, Yhome, marking the start of the new administrative tenure.
