Kohima: The Kohima Sümi Hoho met at Mt Olive College on July 25. Development Commissioner Y Kikheto Sema told the crowd to stay humble. He demanded better management of Sustainable Development Goals. KSH President K Shiwoto Wotsa thanked members for three years of support. He pushed for strong ties with all tribes. Wotsa warned against the dangers of online behavior.
The group issued a firm resolution. They promised to punish any member who uses social media to damage the reputation of the Sümi community. The organization re-elected their current office bearers for a one-year extension. K Shiwoto Wotsa remains president, joined by Vice President Zhutovi Chisho and General Secretary Daniel Kiho. Other roles include Secretary V Khekiye Kiba, Treasurer Vikato Swu, and Cultural Secretaries Kazheto Yeptho and Yekhevi Achumi. Obed Chishi serves as Publicity Secretary, Akheto Achumi as Cemetery Secretary, and Y Kikheto Sema as Banker.
Separately, the Chakhesang Hoho Kohima gathered at RCEMPA in Jotsoma on the same day. Former Assembly Speaker Z. Lohe and IGP Rothihu Tetseo addressed the attendees. Secretary Mutsivoyi Kotso delivered the building construction report. Finance Secretary Lhuvesayi Lohe detailed the budget. Vice President Neizulo Therie chaired the event. Rev. Dr. Thujoneyi Veswuh invoked blessings. Legal Secretary Vekhotso Swuro offered the welcome address. Musical performances came from Rose Vero and the Chakhesang Cultural Research Institute.
Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh prayed for the new leadership team. The Nomination Committee confirmed the board for the 2026-2029 term. Dozhohu Tunyi will continue as president. Neizulo Therie stays on as vice president. Mutsivoyi Kotso keeps the general secretary position. The Chakhesang Youth Organization Kohima also named new leaders. President Medotso Khape and General Secretary Avizo Nienu will lead the youth wing.
