Kohima Police Arrest Three NNC/FGN Officials on Illegal Arms Charges

Kohima: Kohima Police apprehended three suspected underground faction members near the New Secretariat area following a tip-off on June 18. The Special Operations Team intercepted the group as they traveled from Dimapur toward Kohima, leading to a successful tactical operation.

Authorities identified the detainees as Senlo Khing, 56, the self-styled president of NNC/FGN (NA), along with 38-year-old kilo kilonser Kitoho H. Zhimomi and 29-year-old finance kilonser Tovito Kiba. During the search, officers recovered two country-made pistols, including a .32 calibre and a .22 calibre weapon, along with multiple magazines and sixteen live rounds of ammunition. Police also seized a Mahindra Scorpio, 48,500 rupees in cash, four mobile phones, and various incriminating documents.

A formal case has been registered at the North Police Station. Officials confirmed that an investigation into the suspects' network and potential associates is currently in progress. Regarding their ongoing efforts to maintain security, the PRO Kohima Police stated, "Kohima Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety, urging citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by sharing information on unlawful activities."

Law enforcement is encouraging the public to report any suspicious behavior to the South Police Station at 7005986019 or the North Police Station at 7005986018. Authorities promised to protect the identity of any individuals who provide information.
