Guwahati: An IndiGo aircraft struck the runway at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on Sunday, September 27. The flight, tagged 6E 6542, traveled from Guwahati and hit the tarmac with abnormal force during a bout of heavy, gusty weather. Everyone got out safely.

Airline officials confirmed that all passengers and crew members aboard the plane disembarked without injury. Maintenance teams immediately swarmed the jet for inspections after the rough landing. The airline spokesperson stated, "In line with standard operating procedures, all relevant authorities were informed, and the aircraft is undergoing maintenance checks."

The plane remains grounded for now. Engineers must clear the aircraft before it returns to service. IndiGo says the jet will fly again once it passes every required check and secures the necessary safety clearances.
