Guwahati: IndiGo is moving all flight operations to Terminal 2 at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. The switch starts at 12:01 am on July 20, 2026. All arrivals and departures will now go through this new integrated terminal. This move marks a major step in the phased opening of the facility.

The terminal features a bamboo-inspired design. It draws from the cultural heritage of Assam while using sustainable building methods. Designers combined modern infrastructure with this local aesthetic to earn international praise for the site. It stands as one of the most modern terminals in the country.

Authorities want a seamless experience. They have installed clear wayfinding signs and digital information displays. Ground staff will assist people as they navigate the change. Officials confirmed the goal is to improve regional connectivity, noting the shift "reinforces Guwahati Airport's commitment to enhancing connectivity and delivering an improved passenger experience as the gateway to Northeast India."

Check your flight details. Arrive at the airport early. Travelers should head directly to Terminal 2 for check-in, security, and boarding starting July 20.
