Itanagar: IndiGo plans to link Itanagar to several key Indian cities starting October 10. The move promises to streamline travel for passengers heading to major business and commercial hubs. It will open direct service lines to Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Air travel is about to get easier.

The airline also intends to boost connectivity through Guwahati. This route will offer easier access to Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. Officials mentioned one extra destination remains under review, though they have not yet finalized the city.

The expansion should drive economic growth for Arunachal Pradesh. Better links will likely draw in more tourists, traders, and investors. The Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industries welcomed the expansion. ACCI president Tarh Nachung stated, "The additional services would also strengthen the role of Donyi Polo Airport in meeting the state’s growing passenger demand and supporting its economic development." The new flights integrate the state into the wider national economic network.
