Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma kicked off the inaugural MBA session at IIM Guwahati on July 21. This marks the start for the 22nd Indian Institute of Management in the country. The debut class holds 52 students.
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu and MLA Himangshu Shekhar Baishya joined the Chief Minister at the ceremony. Pegu shared the news on X. He told the new students: "Make the most of this new academic chapter."
Construction continues on the institute's permanent home. Crews are building on 574 bighas of land across Marabhita and Dighalkuchi villages in the Kamrup district. State leaders expect the site to drive innovation and business growth throughout the region.
