Geetali Socio-Cultural Organisation Elects New Committee for 2026-2028

Shillong: The Laban-based socio-cultural organisation Geetali held its Biennial General Body Meeting on Sunday at the Pine Brook Guest House. During the session, members reviewed the 2024-2026 biennial report, which was presented by general secretary Ganapada Ghosh. The assembly also received and approved the accounts and auditor's report presented by the treasurer.

Following the review, the organisation confirmed its new executive committee for the 2026-2028 term. CA Sudip Purkayastha will lead the group as president. The vice president roles were filled by Subhash Paul, Bijit Biswas, and Subrata Purkayastha. Biswarup Choudhury was appointed as the new general secretary, supported by assistant general secretaries Subinoy Dey and Partha Deb. Sanjay Bhattcharjee will serve as treasurer, while Ganapati Dhar takes on the role of auditor.
