Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court pushed back the bail decision for Sandipan Garg and Amritprabha Mahanta. Their hearing remained inconclusive on Thursday, August 13. Justice Anjan Jyoti Kalita oversaw the proceedings. The court set September 3 as the next date to weigh the merits of the case.

Justice Kalita ordered staff to bring all pending documents from the fast-track court before him. Garg and Mahanta filed separate requests for relief. The legal battle continues. Meanwhile, the court scheduled August 17 to review similar applications from the other accused parties, Siddhartha Sharma and Shyamkanu Mahanta. Observers are tracking the case closely as the court considers the separate pleas filed by the accused, as the proceedings are being "closely watched as the court considers the separate pleas filed by the accused in the case."
