Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court set August 13 for the next hearing regarding a plea from Shyamkanu Mahanta. Thursday's session followed submissions from all involved parties in the Zubeen Garg murder case. The legal clock keeps ticking.

Siddharth Sharma has three separate petitions pending before the court. These requests focus on unfreezing bank accounts seized during the investigation and gaining access to a report received from Singapore. The third petition deals with procedural issues linked to the ongoing case. A petition from Mahabir Aqua also awaits a court hearing.

Justice remains stalled for others. The court deferred the bail applications for two bodyguards caught up in the investigation. These specific matters now head to the court of Mitali Thakuria on the next scheduled date. The court remains busy. Multiple petitions currently stack up as the judiciary works through the details of the probe.
