Kohima: The Military-Civil Fusion 2.0 Seminar ended on October 9 in Kohima. Hosted by the Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) under the Spear Corps, the two-day event centered on the theme, "From Dialogue to Delivery – Institutionalising Civil-Military Partnerships for a Future-Ready Nagaland." Officials pushed to turn talk into action.
The final session tackled youth empowerment and tourism. Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao from the Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship spoke on job pathways and entrepreneurship. Kovi Meyase, representing the Department of Tourism, called for using local attractions as an economic engine while honoring the history of the Battle of Kohima. They discussed permit protocols and regional development.
Dr. Johnny Ruangmei of the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority pushed for better inter-agency response. Arenla Jamir, the Principal Secretary of Information Technology & Communication, demanded an integrated data-sharing system between civilian and military networks to cut response times. The event served as a hub for swapping best practices to face regional hurdles.
The Deputy Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) handed out mementos to the speakers at the closing ceremony. This event advances the work started during the 2025 conference. It aims for a stable, resilient Nagaland through a unified, whole-of-society strategy.
