Shillong: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma held a review meeting Tuesday to drag up Meghalaya’s Performance Grading Index rankings. He wants better schools. The state needs to close gaps in infrastructure and basic amenities immediately.

Sangma ordered officials to focus on data quality and precise reporting from school staff. These factors dictate how the state scores on the index. Accurate numbers matter.

The Chief Minister scanned status reports for building upgrades at colleges and schools throughout the state. He expects swift action to bolster the index results. "Improving the state’s Performance Grading Index remains a key priority," Sangma said.
