Assam Professor Suspended After Bribery Arrest at Nagaon Medical College

Guwahati: The Assam government suspended Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh following his recent arrest for corruption. Singh worked as a professor in the Forensic Medicine Department at Nagaon Medical College and Hospital. He is out of a job. The Directorate of Medical Education issued the formal suspension order while the investigation continues.

Officials caught Singh red-handed. He allegedly demanded and took cash from a grieving family. He wanted to change the results of a post-mortem report.
