Kohima: Advisor for the Department of New and Renewable Energy, Er. Picto Shohe, met with administrative heads and officials at the directorate office in Dimapur this week to review the status of ongoing energy initiatives. The coordination meeting, chaired by Additional Director Inaho Awomi, focused on scaling up the impact of state-led projects.

Shohe praised the performance of major developments, including the Zhadima Solar Plant, the Punglwa Hydro Project, and the 2x5 MW Solar Power Plant at Hovukhu village. He stated that these installations hold significant potential to provide local employment opportunities and increase state revenue. To sustain this momentum, he encouraged department officials to pursue exposure visits to other states to learn about advanced technologies and industry best practices.

The advisor conveyed the Chief Minister's commitment to supporting the department and urged staff to secure funding for future projects through well-conceived proposals. Emphasizing the value of collective effort, Shohe stated, "the department functions as one family and sought the cooperation of all officials for the greater good of the department and the state." The meeting concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Joint Director Renilo.
