ADE Demands Better NEET Exam Protocols in Meghalaya

Shillong: The ADE Apex Committee has officially petitioned the Director of the National Testing Agency to implement stricter oversight for the upcoming NEET-UG examinations this Sunday. The organization submitted the appeal through the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, citing a history of administrative mismanagement that has negatively impacted local students.

Reports from previous exam sessions highlighted significant issues, including invigilators arriving late to centers. These delays forced staff to conduct attendance verification and document checks after the examination had already commenced. The ADE stated, "Many candidates also reported that they were unable to utilise the full examination duration effectively due to delays and repeated interruptions related to administrative procedures inside the examination hall."

To ensure a smoother testing process, the group is calling for all examination staff to report to their posts at least 30 minutes before the start time. They have also requested that all necessary paperwork and signature collections be finished before the test begins to prevent further disturbances for the candidates.
