Yimkhiung Union Dimapur mandates registration for community children

Kohima: The Yimkhiung Union Dimapur (YUD) has issued a directive requiring all individuals and families hosting children from the Yimkhiung community to register them with the organization. This mandate applies to all children living in the Dimapur district, regardless of the reason for their stay.

The registration must be handled by a family member, relative, or legal guardian. The union has established a deadline of June 30, 2026, for the process to be completed. Those responsible for these children are instructed to contact the YUD Statistical Cell at 8837437611 to fulfill the requirement.

The union clarified that it will not provide support or take responsibility for any issues involving children who remain unregistered. In its official notice, the organization stated, "The union further stated that it would not accept responsibility or provide assistance in the event of any future complications involving children who are not registered with the organisation."
