Kohima: Faith Harvest Church hosted a free medical camp at its Kohima premises on Wednesday. The event marked the church’s ongoing 25th anniversary jubilee celebrations. A total of 530 people signed up for check-ups, and 490 received direct consultations. Volunteers provided free medicine alongside the clinical visits. Prayer warriors also attended to support the patients.
Nine doctors led the medical team. The group included general physicians Dr. Akhrie, Dr. John, Dr. Akaba, Dr. Nyanpong, and Dr. Akuo. Dentists Dr. Esther and Dr. Yashitola joined the effort alongside transfusion specialist Dr. Avila and medicine specialist Dr. Peter. Three nurses, pharmacist staff, and laboratory technician Achi Shijjio assisted the doctors.
The camp is just one piece of the church’s year-long outreach plan. Members are currently visiting widows, widowers, and single parents across various local colonies. Students from the church Bible school also visit nearby shops to offer prayers for the owners. The church stated that these initiatives represent "its ongoing efforts to mark its 25 years of service and outreach to the community."
