Kohima: Ura Academy is set to host its 56th annual seminar from May 27 to 29, 2026, at its headquarters in the Mission Compound of Kohima. The three-day event, held under the theme U Dieu Cha Kedze or Paving Language Progression, features a blend of literary discussions, cultural sessions, and academic conclaves.
The seminar opens on May 27 with a session for Tenyimia community literature boards at 10 a.m. The official inaugural program follows at 4 p.m. featuring speakers including Thinuokhrienuo Tseikhanuo, Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie, and a representative from the Tenyimi People’s Organization.
On May 28, the Ura Academy Rüpfhünuo program highlights contributions from several scholars and community leaders, including representatives from the Angami Public Organization and Nagaland University. Discussions will be led by Dr. Rüünguso Kuotsu, president of the Ura Academy Rüpfhünuo.
The final day on May 29 focuses on the Tenyidie Kephrünuoko Krotho conclave. During this session, the academy will present awards to top-performing students in Tenyidie and music subjects. After a series of literary competitions, the event closes with a valedictory ceremony featuring addresses from Kekhwengulo Lea and Daso Paphino.
