Shillong: Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya stated that India must provide its youth with clear direction to achieve a developed nation status by 2047. Speaking at the two-day Chintan Shivir in Shillong, he emphasized that officials working at the grassroots level are essential for fostering national duty and leadership among young citizens.
Mandaviya noted that individual efforts are insufficient to secure the future of the country. He encouraged participants at the Indian Institute of Management to prioritize collaborative problem solving and strategic planning. The minister urged officers to identify existing challenges and create practical solutions to improve the effectiveness of national youth programs.
The event focused on strengthening coordination between district administrations, academic institutions, and youth clubs. By creating better institutional synergy, Mandaviya argued that officials can more effectively nurture talent and expand the reach of youth-centric initiatives.
Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse also addressed the gathering. She described the conclave as a vital platform for sharing best practices and addressing regional challenges. Khadse advocated for improved communication between field officers and state authorities, particularly to boost the implementation of schemes via the MY Bharat digital platform. She further highlighted the potential of the Northeast, noting that sports initiatives and local clubs remain critical to engaging the regional youth population.
