Agartala: Twipra Students Federation members marched in Agartala on Wednesday. They gathered near the Circuit House to demand immediate action on government job vacancies. The protest lasted four hours. The group wants the state to launch a special recruitment drive for long-pending positions reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

Protesters claimed many posts remain empty after years of neglect. This denies work to eligible locals. TSF Vice President John Debbarma insisted the state follow existing reservation laws rather than invent new policies. "Our primary demand is the launch of a Special Recruitment Drive to fill the backlog vacancies reserved for SC and ST candidates. We consider this a constitutional entitlement and expect the government to take immediate action," Debbarma said.

Leaders argued that filling these gaps ensures social justice. They want a full count of every vacant reserved seat. The group expects a clear roadmap from the state administration soon. They warned that if the government ignores these demands, the protest movement will grow. They want fair representation in all government services.
