Kohima: A total of 133 catechism students finished a three-day summer camp on Sunday at Holy Redeemer Parish in Tobu. The Catholic Youth Association organized the event under the Parish Pastoral Council. It ran from July 17 to July 19. The camp theme was Rooted and Built Up.
Students attended sessions on faith formation and Christian values. The schedule featured daily worship, Bible skits, quiz contests, and group discussions. Kids also played outdoor games and took part in recreational activities. The program mixed heavy learning with fellowship. It worked.
Resource persons included Parish Priest Rev Fr Kevishi Solomon, Sr Cicily Kamei, CYA adviser Changku Augustine, and trainer David Jongo. They pushed for a Christ-centred life. The church held a final Holy Eucharist for the attendees. A valedictory session and prize distribution followed the mass. The organizers designed the camp to ensure attendees stay "Rooted and Built Up" in their faith and values.
