Gangtok: Namchi district will host the 2026 Sikkim Cherry Festival from November 25 to 28. The Temi-Tarku Tourism Development Committee plans four days of events. Blooms will be at their peak. The festival showcases traditional cuisine, organic produce, and village life.
Organizers finalized the dates following a meeting with the local MLA. The committee noted that the legislator's support has encouraged the region's community-based tourism. This event gives a platform to local farmers, women, youth, entrepreneurs, and homestay owners to show off their traditions and talents.
A major highlight is the Dragon Run 2.0. It hits the trails on November 28. The committee is working alongside the 3rd IRBn, Manglay, to put the run together. The group stated, "The run will promote fitness, adventure, youth participation and community spirit against the scenic backdrop of Temi-Tarku."
Tourists and locals are invited to attend. Come see the flowers. The festival offers a window into the rural life of Temi-Tarku while pushing tourism opportunities. Organizers hope to draw nature lovers and adventure fans from across the region to experience the four-day celebration.
