Kohima: The Women Department of the Sümi Baptist Church Kohima held a seminar for young mothers on June 6, 2026. The event, titled Müsukulu Aza or Mother, the Influencer, gathered women from five church fellowships to discuss the challenges and responsibilities of raising children. Associate Pastor Kuholi Chishi explained that the program was designed to offer support and encouragement to mothers as they shape their children's futures.

Chishi highlighted the significant impact mothers have on the development of their children. Regarding the initiative, she stated, "By empowering mothers, we are investing in stronger families and healthier communities."

The day featured four sessions focused on spiritual growth and practical life skills. Former Associate Pastor Kashito Aye spoke about faith formation, encouraging mothers to prioritize their personal relationship with God to guide their children. Dr. Botoholi L. Yeptho addressed common anxieties by discussing the concept of faith over fear. Meanwhile, Associate Pastor Kahoni Shikhu offered advice on balancing career demands with family life, emphasizing the need for prioritization and support rather than perfection.

The seminar also included a health-focused presentation from Dr. Anovili N. Chishi, who educated participants on oral hygiene and its connection to overall family well-being. The program concluded with a discussion session and a communal meal, reinforcing the department's goal to support mothers across all aspects of their daily lives.
