Sarada Sangha to mark Swami Vivekananda’s death anniversary with lunch service

Shillong: Shillong’s Sarada Sangha members plan to honor Swami Vivekananda this Saturday. The group marks his death anniversary with a direct act of charity. They will feed people at the Jhalupara taxi stand.

The volunteers are focusing on the Aahar site. They intend to embody the monk’s core belief: "Service to man is service to God." The organization plans to provide a full lunch to the regular crowd that visits the location daily.

The secretary of the Sangha and several other members will show up in person. They intend to serve the guests their meals themselves. It is a hands-on tribute to the late spiritual leader.
