Sümi Totimi Hoho Revives Local Women’s Body in Satoi

Kohima: The Sümi Totimi Hoho, the apex women’s organization for the Sümi community, has officially revived the Sümi Totimi Loka in Satoi town. The local body had been inactive for several years before this recent initiative.

The Satoi GB’s Association played a key role in the reactivation process, providing the necessary support and coordination to restore the organization. Residents from across the Satoi area attended the program, signaling a commitment to bolstering local social institutions and increasing the role of women in community decision-making.

During the event, the Satoi GB’s Association gifted a Rhododendron plant to the visiting delegation as a gesture of goodwill. The STH Media Cell stated, "The symbolic gift represented growth, unity and a lasting partnership between the community and the apex women’s body."
