Royal Global University Partners with Sashastra Seema Bal to Offer Scholarships

Shillong: The Assam Royal Global University has entered into a strategic partnership with the Sashastra Seema Bal to improve educational access for the families of military personnel. Officials finalized the agreement during a ceremony at the SSB headquarters in New Delhi, with Inspector General Somit Joshi and Registrar Dr. D. N. Singh signing the pact on behalf of their respective organizations.

The collaboration introduces two new scholarship programs for the dependents of serving personnel, ex-servicemen, and those who died in service. The Royal Shaurya Scholarship covers full tuition for the families of martyrs and gallantry award winners, while the Royal Suraksha Scholarship provides a 50 percent fee reduction for the wards of other defense personnel.

Discussing the new initiative, Dr. D. N. Singh noted, "It is a matter of immense honour and privilege for our University to enter into this first-of-its-kind MoU with the Sashastra Seema Bal."

Under the terms of the agreement, the SSB will help share details of these financial aid opportunities throughout its various units and schools to help identify eligible students. Royal Global University currently provides a wide range of academic programs, including engineering, law, management, and health sciences, which will now be more accessible to the families of these service members.
