Road Maintenance Forces Travel Restrictions in Sanis

Kohima: Travelers face new headaches this week. The office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) in Sanis issued a formal advisory for the Doyang-Mangmetong route. Road crews are moving in to handle urgent maintenance work.

The restriction impacts the stretch connecting Chubi Bridge, Ashaa, Pangti, Sungro, and Okotso. ADC Amentoli Anar confirmed the mandate runs from October 8 through October 15. The work could wrap up sooner if crews finish ahead of schedule.

Drivers need to watch their watches. Vehicles cannot pass daily between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon, or from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Officials claim these breaks allow for "uninterrupted road maintenance activities and ensure the quality of workmanship."

Authorities expect total cooperation. Motorists should plan their trips early to avoid getting stuck at the construction site. Officials directed the responsible department and contractors to finish the job on time without sacrificing quality. Keep your eyes on the road and drive carefully.
