Guwahati: The Northeast Frontier Railway held simultaneous Rozgar Mela events in Guwahati, Dimapur, and Siliguri this past Saturday. These programs were part of a larger nationwide effort to generate employment, which saw more than 51,000 appointment letters issued to new recruits across various Central Government departments.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the new appointees via video conference at 11 AM. During his speech, he encouraged the youth to focus on public service and nation-building. He also emphasized the government's commitment to maintaining a transparent, merit-based, and technology-driven recruitment process.

The NFR organized three specific venues for the events, with each location hosting about 400 participants, including nearly 200 newly selected candidates. At the Guwahati event held at the N.F. Railway Headquarters, Union Cabinet Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Lok Sabha MP Bijuli Kalita Medhi attended alongside senior railway officials.
