NLU Meghalaya Hosts Child Protection Panel and Unitarian Church Sets Memorial

Shillong: The National Law University, Meghalaya, is taking action. Its Legal Aid Society and Pro Bono Club will host a panel discussion titled, 'Understanding POCSO in Meghalaya: Legal Awareness, Adolescent Behaviour, and Preventive Child Protection'. Experts gather at the APJ Kalam Auditorium, located within the NLU Meghalaya Mayurbhanj Complex in Nongthymmai, this Saturday.

The session runs from 10 AM to 12 noon. Organizers aim to sharpen local awareness on safety and behavioral issues regarding children.

In other local news, the Unitarian Church in Madan Laban, Shillong, prepares for a solemn occasion. Members will hold their Annual General Memorial Service this Sunday. The event starts at 1:30 PM at the church site.
