Guwahati: Kandarp Kumar Kalita released his latest book, Gurujonar Abirbhav Kshetra Bordowa, at the Sattriya Chora of Batadrava Than. This site serves as the birthplace of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva. Over one hundred people attended the event.
Lachit Bordoloi, general secretary of the Batadrava Than Managing Committee, handled the formal release. Indramohan Barua, the former general secretary, chaired the proceedings. Amlan Jyoti Dev Goswami, president of the managing committee, opened the session by noting how the publication bolsters the Batadrava Cultural Project and Srimanta Sankardeva Abirbhav Kshetra.
The author balances his writing with a career in journalism. Gauravjyoti Mahanta, Officer-in-Charge at Batadrava Police Station, attended as a guest and congratulated Kalita. "Lachit Bordoloi highlighted the importance of reading and studying books," as the event drew speakers including Dilip Kumar Nath, Tuaram Barua, Dilip Dev Goswami, and Durgeswar Borkotoky. Publisher Dimple Chutia also joined the group to discuss the work.
