Kohima: Nagaland will host its first dedicated technology and gaming expo in Kohima. The Nagaland E-Sports Society and the state government team up for the event. It runs August 28 to 29 at the NBCC Convention Hall. Organizers intend to turn the state into a regional hub for digital innovation.
The event operates under the theme, "Where Technology, Gaming and Culture Converge." It moves beyond simple gaming tournaments by integrating career guidance, education, and the creator economy.
Competition takes center stage with three tracks. The Inter-College Championship and an Open MOBA 5v5 tournament, both featuring Mobile Legends, offer prize pools of Rs 1 lakh each. Mini-tournaments will run for EA Sports FC 26, Clash Royale, Tekken 8, Dirt Rally 2.0, Street Fighter 6, and Ludo King. Broadcast-quality production will support all matches with live streaming and professional shoutcasters.
Beyond the screens, a Game Development Showcase highlights local student projects and tech demos. Expert panels and workshops cover career growth and industry skills. Attendees can also hit the interactive zones for product showcases or join the Cosplay Competition. Partners include the Confederation of Indian Industry, NIELIT, YouthNet, NE8, and Nagaland Tourism.
