Nagaland Hosts F1 Sim Racing India Open

Kohima: Kohima welcomes the F1 Sim Racing India Open on August 28 and 29. The national championship lands in Nagaland for the first time during the Tech X Gaming (TXG) Expo 2026. Drivers will face off at the NBCC Convention Hall. It is a big stage. The event features junior and senior categories for all participants. Everyone plays using the official F1 game.

Ishaan Bhataya of Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited confirmed his company will run the Kohima round. "The championship is India's first official Formula 1-sanctioned national sim racing competition and is aimed at identifying and developing emerging motorsport talent," Bhataya said. This debut brings high-stakes gaming to the Northeast region.

The TXG Expo also highlights artificial intelligence, digital creativity, and tech workshops. Organizers packed the two-day schedule with exhibitions and interactive sessions. Students, creators, and gamers will gather to explore the latest digital industries. This event acts as a proving ground for young talent across the country.
